Advanced & emergency exit

The optional no-authentication emergency exit, and resetting all settings.

Settings → Advanced holds updates and the rarely needed options.

Updates

• Check for updates automatically: once a day, never while the ward is up.
• Download and install updates automatically: installs when you quit Wardlume.
• Status and Check Now: shows when Wardlume last checked and why a check failed, for example offline or a server error.

Updates come through a separate, sandboxed downloader. See Privacy & security.

Emergency exit

An optional shortcut that instantly drops the ward with no authentication. It’s off by default, and the default combo is ⌘⇧W (you can change it).

Anyone at the keyboard can use it, so leave it off unless you want a guaranteed way out. You already have several safe ways out without it: Touch ID, Apple Watch, your password, and ⌘⌥Esc → Force Quit Wardlume. See the Safety guide.

Reset all settings

Reset all returns shortcuts, reactions, automation, displays, and gestures to their defaults. Your custom images and sound, update choices, and permissions are kept.
